When i look at past, i see it clearly that Couchsurfing is one of the best things that happened in my life.
I think it is one of greatest invention after the invention of internet, a true way to real cultural exchange, a road to the world peace…
Well, i become a member of Couchsurfing after i read a great article about it somewhere on the web. Bu i guess, i didint have time to discover it, and didnt really understant it what really was. Staying at somebody else’s house in foreign lands? Wow, might be great, but also dangerous, and also who accept somebody to his/her house for free stay anyway? These was one of the toughts that came to my mind after i heard Couchsurfings mission. I can easily say that, i was too skeptical about it.
I started using it again right after a close friend of mine, told me how great it is, and introduce me some of his Couchsurfers. After this experience all of my silly doubts about the Couchsurfing project disappeared!
After helping some Couchsurfers explore Istanbul, i sent my first couchrequest to Toom in Bangkok! Toom turned out to be is one of the greatest person that i met. He immediately accepted my couchsurfing request, and told me very clearly how to get his home after landing to airport. When i went there, there were already 5 other amazing Couchsurfers at Tooms house! 5 different people from 4 nations! One day our Spanish friends were cooking Spanish food, next day, Toom and his great brothers were cooking Thai food, there were lots of travelling stories from all over the world, and the atmosphere was amazing! I didn’t have any similar feeling when i stayed at hotels, and my first impression was so impressive that i never missed any chance to join a city meeting, or help somebody on his questions about my city Istanbul.
I have decided to study Nietzches work again, but this time, properly.
It was the kind of philosophy that make me such a nihilist. But now i see that, by looking at the other works of Nietzsche, his aim was to build a philosophy that will help the feeling of “in vain”.
It has really been a long time since i first met with Nietzshe, but after that i was always effected with his thoughts. Now i am completely in a great rage, to read his works again, and understand his ideas better.

When i was walking without an aim in the streets of Bangkok, absolutely the most annoying thing was the Tuk Tuk drivers.
At first i was listening their speech, and let them try to convince me. But later i gave up, and started not to listening them.
I was even responding sarcastic answers to their favorute question: “Sir, Where are you going?”
-I am going to a birthday party.
-i am going to toilet.
-i am going home.

Harika bir yazım tarzı, çok eğlenceli karakterleri, serüvenlerden oluşan bir yazma stili var.
Bana göre Knut Hamsun, serüven anlaımnda Jack London un ilk versiyonudur.
Gerçi hayır hamsunda london kadar serüvenlere rastlayamayız.
ama yine de şu anda okuduğum knut hamsun’un “sonbahar yıldızları altında” kitabı, london tarzında bir kitap.
Akşamleyin marketten aldığım birkaç bisküvi ve şekerlemeyi meyve suyu ile beraber kahvaltı niyetine afiyetle yedikten sonra sürmeye devam ediyorum…

Şubat ayında yaptığımız tadı damağımda kalan İzmir-Çeşme turundan sonra bisiklet ile yine uzun bir tur yapmanın sürekli hayalini kuruyordum.
Ama birlikte birkaç gün tur yapabilecek bir arkadaş bulamadığımdan sürekli bu hayalim erteleniyordu.
Derken Çeşme turunu birlikte yaptığımız muhteşem ekipten Ozan İstanbula geldi(İzmirden).
İzmir-Çeşme turu ikimizin de bisiklet ile ilk uzun yol denemesiydi. Ozan bu turdan sonra bisiklete binmeye hiç ara vermedi, irili ufaklı yaptığı sayısız turla birçok yeni tecrübeler edindi. Şİmdi ise 1800 km lik şahane bir tura çıkmaya hazırlanıyor. Bir hafta sonra başlayacağı İzmir-Hatay turunun ayrıntılı bilgilerine buradan ulaşabilirsiniz.
İstanbulda Ozanla yaptığım uzun ve eşsiz sohbetlerden aldığım feyzle tek başıma uzun bir tura çıkmaya karar verdim.
